The Triple BP Smoothie

Getting through the day with my daily tasks and having two little ones around makes for a very busy time. Because I’m so busy and I’m still nursing my littlest one, I have to make sure I get quality nutrition. One of my favourite snacks to have on the go is a smoothie, that way I can get my quickie fix of carbs, proteins, fruits and veggies. The basic banana berry protein smoothie (or the Triple BP smoothie as I like to call it) is one of my go to smoothies thats super easy to whip up and it’s delish!

Ingredients:

1 banana, sliced

1/2 cup frozen berries (I used a mix of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries)

1 scoop protein powder (I use unflavoured vegan protein)

1 cup unsweetened vanilla organic almond milk

1 tbsp flaxseeds

Directions

Add all ingrediants into a high speed blender and blend until smooth (usually 30 secs).

Pour in a glass and enjoy!

Note: If you’d like to make the smoothie heavier and more of a meal replacement, add 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt and only use 1/2 cup of almond milk.
