Last week the girls and I were invited by Joe Fresh to attend a great event for kids held at their Queen West location! They partnered up with the ladies of the Smart Cookie Club to host a two hour fun filled activities class for kids!
The Smart Cookie Club, developed by Talia Shapero and Mary Wolff, is a program which focuses on helping children develop a love for learning in addition to guiding parents and caregivers on how to implement some fundamental strategies through play based learning activities.
With it being March break, this was an excellent opportunity for me to get the girls out of the house since the week had been fairly gloomy weather wise and oh my what fun we had! Vahna and Scarlett had an amazing time playing with puzzles, planting faux carrots, and most of all they loved playing with the edible play dough making anything from cookies to birds! I loved watching the girls interact with the other children while playing and also make new friends. Mary and Talia were awesome and the Joe Fresh team were so welcoming!
If you are in Toronto and interested in being a part of the Smart Cookie Club, visit smartcookieclub.ca for a class location near you!
Now although the toys and games were for the girls, I had a little fun myself snagging some JF pieces that I’ll show off in a future blog post!
