Irish Cream Strawberry Trifle


The second dessert I made for Canada Day was my own concoction of one o may fav cakes, Irish cream cake, layered with strawberries and whip cream…YUM!

Irish Cream Cake


1 pkg.  yellow cake mix

1/3 cup icing sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 tbsp vanilla

4 eggs + 1 egg yolk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup Irish Cream of choice


Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 12 cup bundt pan.

Combine  ingredients in large mixing bowl.

Beat four minutes on high speed, pour into pan.

Bake 45 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Let cake cool and invert onto plate.

Trifle directions

Cut a couple slices of cake into cube shaped pieces.

Arrange about one-third of cake pieces a cup.

Spread a layer of whipped cream on top followed by a layer of strawberries.

Repeat until at the top of your cup.

Serve immediately or place in the fridge 1 hour before serving. Garnish, if desired.
